What is the Recording Artists Project Pro Bono Team?
The RAP pro bono team is an opportunity for students to do hands-on legal work for musicians and other entertainment clients throughout the Boston area alongside students from Harvard Law and Berklee School of Music, and under the supervision of the Transactional Law Clinic.
What kind of work will I be doing?
You will be doing a variety of entertainment transactional work. Client issues range from trademark, copyright, licensing, contracts, and business entity formation.
Do I have to enroll in a clinical program to work on RAP?
No! RAP Board will send its members an application. After being accepted and receiving training, you will be assigned to a client team and a RAP client to work with that semester.
What are the benefits of joining the RAP Pro Bono Teams?
Not only does the SPO provide the kind of hands-on learning not found in other law school courses, but it allows students to interact with members of the Boston community. RAP participation also satisfies HLS’ pro bono hours requirement.
